Mahalakshmi Ammal Educational Trust, R P Sarathy Institute of Technology (An Autonomous Institution) (formerly known as Narasu’s Sarathy Institute of Technology) represents a rich tradition of excellence in technology-based education. R P Sarathy Institute of Technology, in its 18 years of existence, has established itself as a reputed institution in the State of Tamil Nadu. The college presently offers seven Undergraduate Programmes — B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security), Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and B.Tech. in Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence and Data Science — with a total sanctioned intake of 720 seats.
In addition, the institution offers two Postgraduate Programmes — M.E. (VLSI Design) and M.E. (Computer Science and Engineering) — with a total sanctioned intake of 24 seats.
For the academic year 2026–2027, the total approved intake has increased to 924 seats, reflecting our continued growth and commitment to academic excellence. This includes 780 seats for Undergraduate programmes, with an additional 60 seats introduced in B.E. Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning).
At the postgraduate level, 24 seats continue to be allotted for M.E. programmes, and a new MBA programme with an intake of 120 seats has been introduced.
